ABOUT SCOTT

Scott brings a wealth of litigation experience to Strauss Law Group. He has litigated at every level in New Hampshire, from District Court to arguing cases before the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Scott comes to Strauss Law Group with a distinguished record of public service, most recently serving as a Senior Assistant Attorney General at the New Hampshire Department of Justice. Scott was the Chief of the Cold Case Unit, where he directed and supervised investigations into New Hampshire’s unsolved homicides. In addition to investigating and directing these incredibly complex cases, Scott worked closely with victims, subject matter experts, and he managed high-profile public relation efforts. 

 

Prior to managing the Cold Case Unit, Scott served as a lead attorney within the Criminal Justice Bureau, where he investigated and prosecuted homicides, public integrity violations, financial crimes, drug death crimes, and other major offenses. Scott has investigated and prosecuted some of the most complex and high-profile cases in the State. Scott is a former full-time police officer and a veteran of the New Hampshire Army National Guard, having served a combat tour in Ramadi, Iraq between 2005 and 2006. Scott remains active in his community through coaching youth baseball and hockey.

In 2017, Governor Christopher Sununu appointed Scott as the Chairperson for the New Hampshire Traffic Safety Commission.

Scott received his J.D., cum laude as a Daniel Webster Scholar from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
